Traditional curries with a homestyle spin. The Claypot Curry House presents an array of traditional Indian & Pakistani dishes youd expect to see on the menu, and certainly live up to their reputation of full-bodied flavours. But they have a contemporary Australian home-style flair to them which is truly unique to the Chef, and is also what makes them so good.I eat a lot of Indian food and I havent come across anything like it since the takeaway-restaurants recent opening. This stuff is cooked fresh using quality ingredients you can see and taste, with beautiful condiments to accompany your main, ranging from cumin scented rice, yoghurts and a selection of naan breads. The entre menu is extensive and equally as t innovative as it is traditional, with generous servings. So dont expect to see a bain-marie full of oily curries like most local counterparts which are more of a fast food solution to the Indian cuisine – this take-home high dining :)Situated for takeaway, there are a few tables in the establishment that are well presented and I highly recommend having your first taste at the Claypot served up to you fresh on their traditional crockery. The service is prompt and friendly. Claypot provides a much needed addition to the limited culinary experiences available to the Huon Valley. Its well worth the drive, and for locals, take advantage of some variety!

And I have finally found it at the Claypot Curry House!I also love the fluffy Naan breads which are cooked to order. My husband had the Chicken Tikka and the smokey flavours of the charcoal Tandoor were beautiful.
