Get shucked is basically a must stop if you head to Bruny island… unless you hate oysters or are allergic Luckily neither was the case for us and we promptly devoured 2 dozen natural oysters, rushed to eat at other places and finish sightseeing and then rushed back to get shucked just to get 3 more dozen take away to eat by the ocean. Was still not enough oysters in my opinion. Fresh as you can possibly get these are grown across the road and shucked right in front of your face. Yum!

After having a delicious cheese platter, just few block from our previous place we passed the Oyster Bar – Get Shucked.Decided that this one would be our next destination to enjoy their local oysters. The oyster bar was quite spacious; indoor and outdoor spots were available. The customer service was nice and friendly. We ordered mixed dozen for $25 AUD- 4 naked oysters- 4 kilpatrick – baked- 4 asian fusion – friedABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! We really had fantastic oysters on different type of cooking; everyone of them was flawless; it was freshly served and didnt smell fishy. The baked and fried were perfectly cooked and seasoned.Loved the soft, tender and fluffy texture of these oysters.Definitely happy to recommend this place for all seafood lovers.Good value to spend for really good quality. It was one of the best oyster dishes we ve ever had! Great taste perfectly baked and fried, yummmyyy ohh nooo wanna get more but we need some space to explore other food during our Tassie trip! whatepieats.com
