Delicious pies, friendly service in this no nonsense joint! If you are feeling hungry and want to dig into a delicious pastry/meaty treat then this is your spot. We had the scallop and roasted lamb….both very different both both had mouth watering pastry and delicious fillings! The lamb was very tender and juicy
The pies at Tinnies are wonderful – light shortcrust pastry bottom and crisp puff pastry top. We tried the roast lamb pie, the curried scallop pie and the scallop mornay pie – they were just terrific!! We finished off with a sour cherry pie – and it was delicious. The staff are really friendly too! The pies are the best pies we’ve eaten in Australia – obviously made with love and pride!
Delicious pies after a long walk at Cataract Gorge. Light and fluffy pastry with yummy filling. Generous portion of pie, too! Would recommend to anyone visiting Launceston.
I love the Pies at Tinnies Pies! There are so many choices but my favourite are Chicken Mornay and Scallop Pie. At $9.20 it’s a gourmet meal in a pie. Staff are very friendly.
Quality, quality, quality… The new owners certainly have taken this up a gear. Pies are super consistent, coffee is now fantastic and the service is really good. If you haven’t been to Tinnies Pies, or haven’t been back, you’ve really missed out!
Every time I visit Tasmania I try to have one of the pies from Tinnies. I live in Melbourne and have tried a multitude of pies here, but nothing beats the pastry and fillings that you can get from Tinnies. Such a quality product. Check out the curried scallop pie, YUM!
Nothing is more annoying to me than a website that says you are open. A store front that says you are open. But a store that is in fact closed.
