I love pastry and have been to bakeries all up and down the eastern sea board. Banjos in Launceston has by far the best service and food. The pastry consistency is moist and flaky, the fillings are well balanced with premium beef (you can just taste it). The staff are just wonderful and helpful. they have a wide range from the decadent to tasty sandwiches.
Came in here for a little snack on the way to footy, my partner got this, plus an orange juice for $10! The service was really nice and food was amazing. I wish was has of found this little gem earlier on our trip.
Meat pies were soggy and warm at best. Although my pepper pie had reasonible flavour it’s not difficult to make a pie that doesn’t leave you feeling like you’ve robbed yourself of calories.
Came for breakfast and tried the curried chicken pie and the curry taste was overpowering. My partners ham and cheese and tomato toastie, she said was nice. Service was friendly,I like the lay out of the place and it’s not cramp inside and prices are reasonable. Above average option here
A definite no brainer. Everything is amazing. Fresh and yummy. Meat pies and sausage rolls are always tasty and I definitely recommend the pizzas. Every Banjos you go to are consistent and you always come out feeling happy. If only they were Australia wide. Fingers crossed.
