Best Chinese food in Tasmania, surprised that they have a Chinese restaurant cooking food for Chinese taste. We came here two nights in a row coz we like it so much. The owner and staffs are really friendly. Food came so quickly and very cheap as well.
Chopsticks? Usually a country town has spoon and fork as the default option, I guess Launceston is just a large country town. Food was average and bland with the spring onion pancake being the saving grace. Too pricey for what is served.
Great food in Launceston. It’s hard to find vegetarian options in Tasmania generally, so it was exciting to find a whole veg section on the menu at the Canton. Nicely prepared dishes with lovely light sauces. The Salt and Pepper Tofu was done just right, and the cashew and mixed veg stir fry was also excellent. There was plenty more to choose from too. A large, but comfortable restaurant offering fast and friendly service, plus reasonable prices. You can see why they have been around for so long.
