We are really happy to find this restaurant after reading some reviews from this site. We came from Melbourne ( a city with so so many Asian Restaurants ) – Chi Chi met our needs. We ordered Spring Rolls, Sweet & Sour pork, Pork Ribs with Peking sauce, Home cooked Tofu, Eggplant dish, Seafood Hokkien mee & plain white rice. All these dishes were flavourful, not too oily or too salty! So yummy. Desserts we ordered 2 fried bananas with ice cream and the best dessert is the Red Bean Pancake. All these for $118! Highly recommend this restaurant.
The girls here are quite friendly and nice. I tried the original milk tea with half sugar and felt this tasted just right, however when dad tried he said it was too plain for his liking so it depends on the individual. The boba was also on the softer side, a little too soft I felt. I also ordered the wonton noodle soup…this was quite different to what I’m used to in Melbourne – usually you get with egg noodles and bok choy. Here I got rice noodles with a whole range of random vegetable toppings. The wonton were small with little filling. The soup was also very bland. Hmm, perhaps the cafe caters to primarily Westerners even the dish has become Westernisd because i certainty didn’t find it to be authentic. My sister had the fried rice – she enjoyed her meal.
If you feel like having a cheap and good Chinese food, I’d recommend going to this place. It’s located in the CBD. The food options are quite generic but it won’t disappoint you. Good food when you’re hungry.
Stopped here for lunch whilst on a road trip.Ambience : 4/5. Pretty quiet. Food : 4/5. Ingredients were fresh. Generous portions and full of flavour. Service : 4/5. Food arrived pretty quick. The cashier cum waitress was very friendly and attended to our needs for serviettes and water. Overall it was indeed a pleasant experience.
