I was here last Saturday and ended up leaving. My partner and i walked in and asked for a table for three since our friend will be joining us. The waitress at the counter told us that we could only sit outside since there is no place available inside. We looked around and saw five empty table and only two of them have reserved sign on them. We asked another waitress about it because it seems a bit odd to us. The waitress then tried to confirm with the previous waitress that we asked for the first time. She looked annoyed and said i told them already that there is no place available inside! with a loud tone while we were just standing a metre from them. I found it to be extremely rude and it seems that she assumed we dont understand english perfectly because we are asians. A couple nice ladies who overheard our conversation walked up to us to offer their table to us since they already finished with their meal, when we told the ignorant waitress that the nice ladies had offered their table to us, she still said no. I wont come here again.
Sadly this little place is trying to do too much and too expensive. Interesting menu but they can’t pull it off. Service is slow and seems a bit unorganised. I ordered the 5Bs but the scrambled eggs were watery and left a milky puddle on my plate I had to mop up with a napkin, and the baked beans were from a can (is it too much to expect home made, or some added tomatoes and capsicum to jazz it up?). She had the Italian breakfast which had too much feta and was very salty. We had to wait 40 mins to get breakfast. The coffee was average. All in all heavily overpriced for what is delivered.
Appalling. Bad service, bitter and burnt coffee, horrifically overpriced. I can’t believe this place is in business, let alone popular.
Very busy little hub on Margaret St. We arrived at 9am for a late breakfast and there were a lot of mothers groups in there, however not much to entertain the kids. Great looking rustic venue with lots of tradies having their morning coffee at the outdoor seats. The menu is promising, boasting items that sound packed with flavour, however what comes out is far from that. Bland, basic meals. Add $4 for 1/4 an avocado on the side. My mistake. Coffee also average. Burnt milk & repeated on me all day. Sad to say but I won’t be back for more.
Wonderful breakfast filled with fresh Tasmanian produce.. Recommend the breakfast stack. Good service and conveniently located. Well worth a visit.
The older waitress told me the chef didn’t have enough time to cater for my food allergies (Only place on earth!).Had to keep sending my order back as they couldn’t get it right the first few times. And it was my birthday lunch with family!Wasted time, money, energy, only to leave with disappointment and a headache. If you want bad service, probably go here. Not likely to ever return!
This is my fave place for breakfast in launceston. The menu has a huge selection and the food is amazing and generous portions. The BBQ eggs are my favourite ! Definitely book (if they will let you) as it gets incredibly busy. The service is never exceptionally friendly but is efficient given how busy the cafe can be.
