Ordered lunch and asked for some chili flakes on the side. All arrived and all was ok until I looked at the bill. First time ever eating out I was charged $5.00 for a chili flakes. Told staff that it is not on the menu and was not told by a waitress of the extra cost. Still was told to pay. Outrageous. Will never go there again.

Wine list small but good priced wine by the glass and bottles reasonably priced.Relaxed music and the couches make you want to sit and stay longer to view the world go by.Desserts looked great but too full after the Haloumi fries, great size but need to share!!!!Highly recommend
Consistency in providing a good dining experience over a period of time must always be a challenge in the restaurant game.Elaia has been a stop for us whenever in Launceston for years now and having eaten morning. noon and night, on various occasions, it continues to tick all the boxes.Although we eat at a number of other venues in Launceston, Elaia is a trusted benchmark.
