Hogs breath cafe is one of the unique American designed Hogs theme. Their food was simply amazing especially the chicken parmigiana with swirl fried and gravy. I also loved the Mississippi mud cake. The food could have been served a bit hot though for the cold weather in Launceston but apart from that just great.

Subpar customer service Beware of the Kids Meal Deal. We’ve been there a few times and despite their subpar customer services we’d still put up with them. One time we went with a large group of friends and had a good time until the staff tried to rush us multiple times to finish the night by asking if we’d finished with our plates when obviously the food were still there and we had not finished them. The recent visit we wanted to take advantage of the kids free meal deal and was made to pay for the kid’s meal because we only ordered 2 mains for 3 adults. I do understand there’s no free lunch and that the T&C states there’s a minimum $20 per adult. Our bill for 3 adults totals $85 ($67 for two mains) more than $20 per person per their T&C. We were made to pay for the kid’s meal and did not even get the drink & the icecream that would normally come with the paid kid’s meal. We could have gotten away order 3 smaller mains for $60. The waitress should have pointed this out to us before we ordered but she did not. We are feeling we’ve been ripped off and will not return to Hog’s Breath Cafe again.
The meals are huge here! I usually have the lite cut prime rib which is delicious but I do find they have a tendency to be overcooked probably because of the slow cooking style so I suggest get the more rarer option than usual . I didn’t like the choc fondue it was like a cheap chocolate sauce rather than melted chocolate. I found the service prompt and not over bearing but we did go at a quiet time 🙂
Terrible lunch, huge servings but mostly rice & lettuce. Steaks were overlooked, medium rare was more like medium well. Chicken wrap had bits of uncooked chicken. Never again 🙁
