Amazing little Italian restaurant with the most lovely staff. Service was impeccable! We had the scallops as entree which were divine, & the seafood fettuccine was absolutely delicious! I unfortunately left my scarf behind by mistake & am only holidaying in Tasmania – the staff at Novaros contacted me & offered to post it back to my address in Melbourne! To me this is going above & beyond, & I cant thank Novaros enough. Would definitely recommend this amazing restaurant 🙂
Set in an old terrace house, old world opulence with a modern twist. The atmosphere is comfortable and you feel like you are attending a dinner party in someones home. Brett the matre d’ is friendly, efficient and welcoming. Wine list is offered and water glasses are filled (and were replenished the second the glass was half full for the entire meal). I had the beef carpaccio for starter, which entirely too great for its own good. My husband had the Seafood Fettuccine for main, which he declared was the best hed ever had. I had braised beef cheek for my main, and it melted in my mouth. I then ordered dessert (Creme Brulee) the dessert i judge every restaurant by, and it was up there with The Madison (Hoboken, New Jersey) and Ruths Chris Steakhouse (Weehawken, New Jersey). A very high standard indeed. Overall an excellent experience, wait staff were great, service was efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Go to this restaurant. You wont be sorry.

Parmesan crusted oysters were divine as were the delicately cooked scallops. Highlight was the slow cooked beef cheeks. Spectacular. Lovely ambience. This place ticks all the boxes!
