We ate here for breakfast. The service was really very good, we had a baby with us and they provided us with a high chair and were happy for her to roam around the restaurant. The food was delicious and perfectly fine. Nice and quiet spot so you can have a good conversation. The only negative was the prices seemed a bit high, we didn’t have any bad things or food but they just seemed high. In saying that I’d eat there again.
Outstanding service and delicious food. The mussels were really amazing. Service was quick, thoughtful and cheerful. The staff were friendly and helpful. Really recommend this place.
Third time at Pierres last night. Again, great service delivering delicious food with an intetesting and reasonably priced wine list. Winner.
My husband and I were having a lovely time in Tasmania until the evening of 9th of Jan. We made a reservation through Dimmi for dinner at 8.30pm at Novaro’s Italian restaurant,28 Brisbane st, Launceston after looking at the restaurant ratings. We received an email confirming the booking. We went to Novaro’s at 8.20pm only to know that there is no table available even after 9.15pm. The restaurant owner was not concerned about Dimmi booking as she quoted that she was not on real time reservation and only asked us to go elsewhere even though she had a table for 2 vacant in the corner of her restaurant. She did not make any effort to check her computer whether there has been any dimmi reservations or not even after we told her. I cannot understand how dimmi could give a confirmed booking without the knowledge of the restaurant owner who is not on real time! There is obviously no communication between Dimmi and the restaurant. We then went to Pierre’s on George street without any reservation. We managed to get the last table for the evening. Wine, Entrees, Mains and Dessert were excellent. Service was impeccable and we really had a great time after a disastrous experience with the previous restaurant.Definitely, Pierre’s Launceston is value for money and great place for dine in. I would rate this in the top of my list….Thank you Pierres’ for accomodating us and treating us like valued guests.
I usually head for Pierre’s for a light lunch and a cheeky wine simply because their food is consistently good, the service impeccable and the fish pie is the best I’ve tasted north of the state. Whether you want light or substantial they have something to suit.
Had breakfast. Pretty good. Although $23 for eggs benedict was on the expensive side compared to other places. Service was prompt and staff were great.
Felt like I got ripped off at Pierre’s. Food is average and overpriced. You’re paying for the French decor and music. Oysters are tiny and very disappointing considering Tasmania is the home of Oysters. The size of the Oysters was an absolute insult considering I went to Hobart and found the same Oysters kilpatrick in the pub for $10 at happy hour when Pierre’s was charging $42. Most dishes are filled up with fat bread slices. Staff are very friendly (like the waiters that flirt with you so you buy more drinks) and seems like they have been told to upsell and push drinks but after you pay they don’t want to know you anymore. Not worth returning. If you want something upmarket like Pierre’s, try the Mud Bar and if you want something casual and good value try the Star Bar.
