Food:Great if you like Mexican with absolutely no heat or spices to it. Elected for the mild thinking i wouldn’t need to ramp it up… It needed ramping up… For any flavour of Mexican.Rice side dish offered next to no flavour and had the consistency of microwave rice.Cactus wrap was not worth the $ 22 was more like something you would get from a food court Mexican. (Salsa’s would be an improvement)Dessert:Went for the churros and were served 3 with canned whipped cream and store bought chocolate and caramel sauce. Not worth $10 by a long shot.Lots of little kids and screaming babies. Definitely a family friendly place. But not great to be seated near despite the later than little kid dining time.Maybe my girlfriend and I (from Melbourne) are used to good Mexican, but this was just average to sub average and overpriced for what we got.

Fantastic service, very accommodating especially with a 2 year old. The food some of the best Mexican I’ve had in a while……………….

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The frozen margaritas were very delicious too. The food was mediocre but the drinks are cheap and service is great.

We were ravenous after hiking through the wilderness for 6 days, and the cold Launceston weather basically blew us to the nearest restaurant and we stumbled into the prickly cactus. It’s exactly what you would expect from an Aus-tex-mex place and to be honest we were all totally cool with that! Friendly staff and quick service, and pretty tasty food. Hit the spot for a fast, filling and flavourful meal we were craving.

Seriously well run Mexican restaurant with the typical great Launceston staff friendliness. Loved the place and will come when next in town

Amazing, Amazing & Amazing!! Was so surprised to find good, and I truly mean good Mexican food. And to find it out of the way Launceston! Good value, deliciously delicious food, and scrumptious margaritas!

Very average food and bland taste. It certainly lacks true Mexican flavours. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Also the place is overpriced. 🙁
