A must!. Thursday night dinner at the Home of the Artisan is a must! Beautiful food, amazingly friendly staff, and the great buzzing atmosphere made the night extremely enjoyable. My partner and I had everything on the menu, sharing the whole experience! If you haven’t been to Home of the Artison, put it on your list of must dine experiences.

Flew in from Melbourne today and went for lunch with my family. 3 of us had the Asian salad with pork, omelette with Duck and the chicken panini – very impressive and clean plates were all that remained!. The cake and biscuit selection was great and we had carrot cake, brownie with pecan and caramelised toffee and the Monte Carlo biscuits with coffee – the brownie should come with a warning as it is seriously moorish and will quench any chocolate craving’s.We are a little fussy over our coffee, but all came perfect to our order which doesn’t happen often so a real delight. The service was impeccable, very attentive even though the place was very busy – it was perfect and the staff compliment perfectly. We were all suitably impressed and would highly recommend you pay a visit for yourself. There are some beautiful items in the shop too. I have had some of the chutneys before and Bills beet root marmalade is heaven sent and the pasta sauce Devine!!! Everyone should have them in the cupboard.Next time we are back in Tasmania and this way, we will definitely be back, it’s just a shame we can’t fit in a revisit before we leave.

Amazing. We had the pleasure of having dinner at Home of the Artisan last Thursday, and what an experience it was. The service was welcoming and relaxed, and Lee looked after us very well. We ordered all three courses and were so happy we did! We each had a different starter, the Haloumi stack was creamy and generous in size and the sesame crusted ocean trout was beautifully fresh & topped with micro herbs and thai chilli vinaigrette. We both ordered the chargrilled beef fillet medium rare which was perfectly cooked; tender, flavoursome and melt in the mouth. Pudding was sensational, apple tarte tartin and a coconut & lemongrass panna cotta. Both very different, and both were so good. Caroline Dowling clearly has a gift for what she does in that kitchen, with Danielle they create food that not only utilises fresh local produce, but is simply, honestly delicious. Thank you. We’ll definitely be back and will highly recommend Home of the Artisan.
