Jam & Bread is a quirky, vintage inspired tea-house and gift shop set in a cute 1920s cottage in the heart of Margate. Specialising in fresh and delicious savoury and sweet treats all made on the premises. Serving breakfast, lunches, house baked sweet treats, Devonshire and high tea. Featuring local Tasmanian produce. On offer a large selection of organic, fair trade loose leaf tea and Hobart's own Zimmah coffee. Hand-crated gifts, jams, chutneys and other Tasmanian gourmet goodies. The tea-house is available for private tea-parties. It was our mission to re-use, re-task and recycle as much as we could when we fitted out the teahouse. The chairs were op-shop finds that have been restored and recovered. The tables and 90% of the shelving was made with recycled wood. The counter was once part of a bookshop and the lights over the counter were made from 1970s soft drink bottles.
