My husband and I ate here on our last day in Tassie as we were in the area. The service was appalling – the staff seemed pretty disappointed to be working there. We ordered the beef burger and the chicken burger and both were terrible. To top it off, the waitress poured my husband’s lager like it was a diet Coke. Disappointing way to end our holiday.
Moonah being Moonah, it’s not exactly known to be a foodie’s paradise. But I have a feeling things are going to change very soon :)My partner and I went in for breakfast by recommendation by his mother, and boy was it a nice surprise!When you walk in, it looks like a well presented cafe. Service was a bit slow as it was short staffed, but it was pleasant enough. I ordered the Middle Eastern Breakfast, while my partner had the Breakfast Burger. It was excellent! Everything arrived about a minute after our coffees did, so it’s hot and fresh. My partner who usually eats very little devoured almost everything on his plate! Will definitely be back again when we’re in Hobart!Oh, and did I mention how much it was altogether? $40 for two people’s breakfast with coffees. Such great value for money, it would probably be one persons breakfast in Sydney!
