Lunch today at Sarinya Thai Fusion at Moonah, Tasmania. Combination Fried Rice $16.90 and Beef Red Curry $18.00.We should have suspected a problem. No one else in the shop. We soon observed; everything was dirty, not just a little but absolutely filthy. An unpleasant spicy/sewerage like odour was reeking through the shop.I was beginning to worry, should have quit while we were ahead but we had already paid. Then the food was presented. On grimy plates. Now I was worried.The Red Curry was frightening. There were 3 large pieces of grey fibrous material representing meat, some stewed vegetables with 2 almost unidentifiable prawns all floating in grey coconut gravy. Wife couldn’t face it so I tasted it and was lost for words.The fried rice was lumpy and stale. Only recognisable ingredients were rice and broccoli. It was horrible It looked like an accumulation of leftovers found at the back of the fridge and tasted like it. Nothing was fresh.So we bolted.I’m not joking. There is only one appropriate word to describe this place. Awful.
