Very different yet very very tasty. I have travelled across australia looking for same type butter chicken only to be found in this restaurant.02 Sep, 2012Had dinner with family last night was a pre father’s day dinner and food was awesome. Butter chicken and lamb rogan josh was really tasty. Naan was soft. It was value for money, 70 for a table of 4 cant get best food at great value anywhere in Tassie. Love it highly recommended.
So disgusting!. I used to come to this restaurant about once a week with family and friends, that was in 2010, the food was always great and good value for money. now it is absolutely woeful, my sister and I ordered our old favourites and were appalled at the decline in quality. The butter chicken consisted of a few pieces of chicken in the most flavourless and watery tomato liquid. I could not eat it. The naan breads were also overcooked and burnt on edges. When we complained upon paying, the waiter didn’t even respond. Give it a miss.
Had a dinner with friends, butter chicken was one of the best I have had. Prawn curry was awesome, portions were huge and value for money. $60 for three of us can’t get better value meal anywhere else. Highly recommended.
Dishonest and Disgusting. They are dishonest with their menu prices and the food was awful.1. They DON’T include rice with the meal menu price (and don’t tell you that’s the case until your meal is already cooked and then reveal that if you get their bain marie food, the rice comes with it, but who wants to risk the food poisoning?). The rice costs an extra $4 so it ends up being a meal for around $20. 2. The curry was disgusting. I had butter prawns which had 3 small prawns and a sloppy sauce that seemed to be made of condensed milk with none of the tomato flavouring that is traditional in the butter sauces. The butter chicken was the same. It’s meant to be sweet, but not like this, it was as sweet as custard.3. The naan bread was bland and dry. We could have used it as a frisbee.
