Worst Yum Cha in 40 yrs. After reading some very impressive reviews about this restaurant, I went there with my wife for yum cha this afternoon. The location and building were impressive, with lots of car parking. 6 other cars in the carpark was the first sign of maybe I made a terrible mistake, but I thought that 12.30pm was probably was a bit early for the locals. Inside was one table of 7 and another table of 4. Ordering from a photograph menu rather than having the trolleys come round was the next sign that this wasn’t really the experience I’d imagined. The chinese tea smelt and tasted like river water, but I was assured by the waitress it ‘was’ jasmine tea. I ordered 7 different dim-sims (the most popular ones Westeners usually order, prawn, pork etc) and not one of them was exciting, they were warm rather than steaming hot, and all the ones with pork ingredients tasted quite ‘stale’/odd. Needless to say we didn’t persevere in finishing the serves, paid and left never ever to return. So if you’re serious about yum cha, stay well away from this restaurant, unless you want to confirm my disappointment.

Food was ok but nothing to rave about and not worth having to experience the appalling service. The food comes as and when it does, your not allowed water? The waitress we had was so rude. Would never go back again!

Food good but is it worth the wait?. Food is good if you have the patience to wait nearly 2 hours for the main course. Thankfully there’s a pool table to pass some time but the log fire is inactive and with the curtains open and only old electric heaters to warm the tables, it can be a protracted experience.

Awful service and attitude by waitress. The food was marginal. The service was absolutely atrocious. The waitress was hot temper and in patient. This is the worst experience we had at a restaurant. Avoid going there if you can.
