  • Pretty basic, can cook better at home tbh. Service was nice but they didn't have a lot in stock to make some meals on the menu which was pretty stupid…

Visited after work for an easy dinner. I had the herb trevalla on saffron mash and asparagus. Hubby had the macadamia crusted salmon which he loved and the little one had penne wth homemade Bolognese. My fish was ok but tasted a little watery sadly. The asparagus was strong tasting and the saffron a little watery as well. The bowl of chips was huge and they were seasoned well and served hot. Next time ill probably stick to the fish wrap which always went down well.

I chose the chowder tonight ($20). Bland, non creamy stock with two small pieces of flavourless fish and two I would say frozen prawns. Oh and four crutons. I asked the maitre d’ if that was the standard portion oer serve and he replied yes. Won’t be hurrying back.

Macadamia crusted salmon was the choice for dinner tonight. Decor is nice, not overly crowded. If I lived in Hobart I would go back to try other dishes

A quick lunch on Friday……no-one asked us how we enjoyed our shared meal – I know why!!The chips were undercooked, cold and not a sign of any crunch. The calamari was tough, the crumbed fish was pleasant, the prawns also pleasant. The scallops had been battered – one including some of the shell…yummo, not!I pointed the shell out to the waitress, she said she would tell the chef…..and that was the end of that.Be a long time before I would bother with Fish 349.

Over priced. Bored by this place, the menu doesn’t change. Overpriced for what you get.Not rushing back.

A word to the wise. On 03/04/2015 we had lunch at your restaurant. We made reservations almost 2 weeks prior. When we arrived we were confronted with a sign printed on A4 paper taped to the front door saying there is a 15% surcharge for dining in on good Friday, now as we know that staffing costs do bring about penalty rates on public holidays, however we do consider it would have been more appropriate to notify us at the time we rang and made our reservations. We accepted your surcharge without any argument because it was too late to go anywhere else as a few of us had to travel quite a distance so we could spend the day with our family. We were told there is no table service, we had to go to the counter like a fish and chip shop and pay as we ordered. our food arrived in record time which surprised us as it normally takes longer to prepare 7 meals that is claimed to be fresh seafood. The scallops were dry and tough, the calamari was also dry, tough, and warm just like it was cooked prior to that time. We would have made a direct complaint but you staff made all of us feel uncomfortable, They havered around our table and as we just finished a dish they would take the plate and even lean across my plate and grab an empty bowl to the right of me. We were made to feel if they were trying to get us out so people off the street could come in and sit. My daughter had to get up during her meal and tend to her son and the waiter tried to take her meal because she left the table. We found the amount of staff you had to clean up the tables was a great overkill. If you had of put on less staff and gave a better service and not made us all feel you wanted our table for others it would have been a better day for the whole family. You restaurant appeared to us as no more than a glorified fish and chip shop. We would have taken this to the manager but it was obvious that staff were instructed to once we were finished to get us out so you can make more money off people that walk in off the street rather than look after the people that reserved a table. I hope you had a great Good Friday making money because our day was ruined by you and your staff.

Worst meal I’ve ever had. Bland salmon and crappy service. I need laxatives so I can go get a another meal somewhere else like macdonalds.
