This place has really got it right. Interesting and tasty food, quirky but not ridiculous decor and a fun, friendly owner/manager (Rose). I had the Italian version of bubble an’ squeak, Buna Buono, on my latest visit and it was delicious. Goes without saying that they also do great coffee.

We loved it!!! Here for a short holiday from Melbourne. We were looking for somewhere that the locals eat so ventured away from the typical Salamanca waterfront area. Ok so this place felt like I was visiting my aunt back in the 70’s. It is small and cosy and the menu has a small choice but I don’t mind that, as long as they do it well. Well we both loved our meals. Simple poached eggs with mushrooms on the side, and fried eggs and bacon is fairly stock standard but it was more than that!! Oh and they make this home made chutney which really should not be missed. I loved it so much I bought a jar to take away. I understand it is still a new business so I recommend you get along there and support local traders. Obviously very good italian cook in the kitchen….. some of the lunch menu items are just what my mum would serve up!
