A nice place for ribs! Very good servings and you will definitely be full afterwards! The ribs were tender, soft. The side salad refreshing and a good accompaniment. Swapped potatoes for chips- delicious. Garlic bread was tasty although it had a slight seafood taste to it… probably because they grilled it on the same grill. The onion rings were disappointing. Far too oily and the batter was too thick. Service was attentive. Price, fairly reasonable. We were seated at the back section of the restaurant where the open kitchen was- a particular staff member had a very loud voice and seemed like she was arguing at times, that took away from the ambience. Overall, good food and service so we would come back.

I am perpetually in search of the best steakhouse in Hobart and I think I may have found it. Roaring Grill is a traditional steakhouse in North Hobart. I had the mix grill with eye fillet, house made sausage, lamb cutlets, bacon and a potato rosti. It was delicious – tasty, tender and perfectly cooked meat, although the potato rosti was mushy and a bit lacking in flavour. Service was attentive and friendly. I will definitely come back here again.

The service was pretty nice. But my friends and I got pretty disappointed about the food. We are tourists and was looking for a fine dining experience. We ordered the eye fillits, scotch fillet and the pork rib. The pork rib was decent but all of the steaks were very overcooked. The blue cheese sauce was nice though.
