We went to your restaurant last Sunday for lunch, arrived at 1:45 pm as all websites indicated you were open till 2:45 pm. We entered as the door was unlocked and I greeted you by name: Harry, you stayed seated and told us we are closed. We left disappointed and WILL NEVER RETURN.If you advise patrons you are open at certain times ; be OPEN.There are more Indian places to eat.
Disappointing. In between speaking to his staff aggressively, the manager roamed around the restaurant serving diners with a toddler draped over his shoulder. It’s nice to know this is a family business, but it falls short of general hospitality norms.After ordering, we were left waiting for 45 minutes before our meals arrived. It wasn’t worth the wait. The Lamb Korma was presented well and in a generous quantity. However, the dish lacked depth of flavour and was generally quite lacklustre. The naans were excessively oily but, fortunately, were soft and cooked well. This restaurant clearly has a lot of potential: it’s a beautiful location with loads of character. But the overall experience was clunky and unimpressive. For the prices this restaurant is charging, I would expect more.
I was about to provide a review that the critics of the service and food at this restaurant were too harsh. That is, until, the owner got very creative with the math on our bill and then chose to inform us that the additional 5 dollars was for the two plastic take away containers we were provided for our left overs. Rather than argue, I will just leave a review to inform others. Give this one a pass.
