Stopped here for dinner. Really loved the service and most of the food – namtok, lamb curry, duck, mango lassi. Beef Rendang was hot enough but a bit flat, we would definitely come back though. Good food.
A legendary restaurant that tonight didn’t deliver. I ordered my usual Mussam Neur which came out so sweet that I nearly had a hyperglycemic episode. My usual is known for its smoothly, curried creaminess and the beef that falls apart in your mouth. The beef was hard and reheated.I ordered the sticky rice and it was crunchy and just warm. It had virtually no flavor. My dinner guest had the Nepalese Lamb which was ok.I’m surmising that this place has changed hands which is devastating for us seasoned regulars. I’ve attached a pic of my beef dish and for those of you who frequent Vanidols I’m sure you’ll ascertain yourself how dark and unusual this dish is.
