Ok so I’m a bit of a pastry nut on occasions and if the temperature drops ever so slightly I go looking for it. Preferably hot! I didn’t have a lot of time so dropped in to grab a pie and chose the Cape Grim beef. It was rather different than what I expected, and probably just a lot less tasty. I usually go for the cottage pie, but apparently that isn’t baked daily. Im not usually such a negative diner, but having to actually think about it has made me a little more fussy. The dining area was a bit grimy and I know they can do better than that. Undoubtedly I’ll go back whilst I’m working in the area for the next few months, but I must admit that I do get a better deal eating a toastie or a bowl of homemade soup from the Sandy Bay bakery up the road.
