Pretty standard pub food if you just want something basic. The sweet potato fries were delish. The service was quick and the layout of the Metz is really cool. Great for uni hang outs.

This place is awesome. Love the building and the lay out of th MetZ for starters. Fantastic service, fantastic food. An awesome environment. Can’t fault it.. Been there on a few occasions, some were for a meal some for a few drinks. Not living over here I always try to stop and have a meal here in the lovely Sandy Bay if I can! If you’re in the area try it out, if your in Hobart it’s a short drive!

Eternally average. Service is always great here but the food is just so average. Roasted beetroot salad=warmed tinned beetroot. Garlic aioli tasted liked pure raw garlic. Great place for a drink, but skip the food!

Pizzas. Yum! We had wood fired pizzas. Were a nice size, well flavoured with beautiful crisp bases. Service was attentive.. It was very quiet albeit a Tuesday night. Very enjoyable.

Vietnamese beef salad very tasty. Service was great although was quiet at the time, staff helpful with gluten free food (and marked on menu). Nice location but slightly noisy outside.

Awful, overpriced pizza. I am a pizza snob. I know what real pizza should taste like. I can accept so called gourmet pizzas with stupid non-authentic options if it’s done well.Metz got nothing right. The dough was cakey – not that combination of crispy, chewy and yeasty with big bubbles that indicates competence. The toppings were all weird and tasted either like nothing or bad. And the pizzas, the size of a dinner plate ranged from $20-24.How ridiculous.

Mrs.. My husband and myself went to the Metz last week (july 2012). Deceiving advertising: big breakfast for 9 dollars. And what is big in their opinion? One piece of bread with eggs and bacon or mushroom but NO coffee. In Melbourne when someone offers a great deal on big breakfast coffee is included. And the coffee was bitter, seems to be they do not often clean the machine. Very disappointed, will never tell my friends to go there. I rather have breakfast in the centre of Hobart where deals are better and people more friendly and less deceptive.
