What an absolute little treasure of a place. Fantastic coffee and hot chocolate to die for! The staff are extremely friendly with fast efficient service. You instantly feel welcome the minute you walk in with tasteful comfortable decor. There is a gallery attached too which is just wonderful. Definitely worth a stop if you are travelling through.
What a fantastic little cafe in a beautiful old character building in the middle of pretty Sheffield. The coffee here is as good, if not better, then any I have had in Australia, including Melbourne (which is usually hard to beat) and the fudge is to die for! My favourite was the salted caramel – yum! The new chocolate fudge scones are also delicious. The staff are friendly and efficient, and will make your order exactly how you want it, always with a smile. I always recommend this place to my friends when they visit Tasmania and none have been disappointed. I’ll definitely be back!
Stopover before heading off to cradle mountain, was excited to stop at a cafe called fudge n good coffee. Service from the girls there were great throughout.Turned out to be average fudge and just terrible coffee. The sandwiches and roll that we ordered we ok. Cold bread doesn’t help in making sandwiches/rolls taste better. The coffee was terrible. Weak and the milk was flat and not creamy. Now, what made me rate it 1.0 was the response. I rated it unfavourably at another reviewing platform. And boy did they respond. It was said that I didn’t like their coffee because I am used to having instant coffee? Ironic since I thought that their coffee was worse than any instant coffee I’ve had. They also suggested that I could have said something at the cafe and they might serve it to me boiling hot like instant coffee, then I might like it?Seriously? With that kind of response, I’m glad I didn’t say anything at the cafe cos I might be thrown out or poisoned or worse. Also their response to my compliment of their service, was laced with heavy sarcasm.Their lucky they are situated in a small town and tourist and locals alike have not that much to choose from. If they were anywhere more populated with competition. This kind of news of after service would spread like fire and it would be a job and a half turning it around.Note that there were no gratitude com incubated to those that rated them well.Only scathing remarks to those that didn’t. And it wasn’t just to myself. The other reviewers who left less than average reviews all received scathing responses.
Cafe, Sheffield, Tasmania. We stopped here for a cuppa on our way to Cradle Mountain, a couple of weeks ago. The best thing ever!Sheffield, is rightly called the mural town! It was a pleasure walking around seeing the murals. We then dropped into this amazing little cafe – all done up in Victorian style with fudges to die for! We decided to sample a trio of fudges – choc, passion fruit and rocky road. All were amazing. So were the milkshakes. Very traditionally served in the large steel glasses. The cafe has a lot of art work for sale too. We thoroughly enjoyed our mini break. Would definitely recommend this place to one and all.
