The restaurant is in an amazing location perched on a hill overlooking Strahan with sweeping views over the harbour. We generally prefer to avoid buffets but we wanted to sample some Tasmanian seafood and we were very happy that we tried it. There was a good selection of cold and hot food and it was all very well prepared and presented. We particularly liked the ocean trout and the Thai seafood salad. We were a little disappointed with the desserts (a little bland and unimaginative) and we thought that there should have been a cheese board featuring Tasmanian cheeses.

Asked for a table by the window when we booked but was told that they were full. Both tables in front of remained empty all evening. It’s buffet style with a whole smoked trout sitting proud as punch in the middle of the buffet the night that we were there. Trout and seafood were great. Salads ok but too much dressing for me. Didn’t try any of the hot food. The desserts all looked pretty sweet so I gave them a miss and what – no tassie cheeses!!Was disappointment in the no cheese for dessert so had a Hellyers Road tasting at the bar instead.

Great venue, amazing view, good service. Buffet had a wide range of foods from fresh local seafood to roasts and Asian style dishes. Comprehensive food, complimented by a good choice of wine by the glass, with quality service. $55 for the buffet is a little rich, but you are in the middle of no where, so understandable. All in all worth the investment.

Great friendly service. The food was excellent, I am not a buffet fan, this one is not a typical one. Great food, with nice variety of flavoor at a reasonable price. Will come back again. Ps lovely view of the harbor.

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Fitted a big group in without a reservation. Amanda the wonderful chef shared her beautiful red lentil curry soup recipe. Forgot to mention the views as well but we were to busy enjoying the food.
