Had a great experience here. One of the recommended places in Swansea and I could understand why!Friendly service and one of the better pub food I have ever eaten. There are also a lot of locals who love this at, which is perhaps what made the atmosphere so good. Although it had a self serve style, we ended up having a very helpful and enthusiastic waitress bringing in our meals!Love the melshell oysters and pizza was delicious! The seafood platter was also surprisingly plentiful!A recommend if you are in Swansea!

  • Whats On The Grill?

Friendly staff. Fairly typical pub with a sticky carpet feel that draws a boisterous crowd on a Friday evening, knocking back pots of beer while playing pool. We sat downstairs however seating upstairs seemed to be where you want to be as these seats are reserved (same menu/kitchen though). I had the quail which was cooked nicely however had a fairly sweet sauce on it. The missus had the steak and chips which she thoroughly enjoyed.

One of the few places you can eat out in this small town. This certainly was probably the busiest and had a good selection of beers and a nice atmosphere with locals. Food was ok and had a pizza which was ok.

Feels like stepping back in time, but not in a good way. Old country pub feel without the food quality. Chicken over-cooked, old & very over-cooked veggies, and even the water wasn’t clean! Pretty limited selection of drinks at the bar. Skip it, for sure. The bakery next door is a lot better for cakes/pastries, but don’t make a special trip.

This is our second time here and it was impressive again. The entree platter was amazing, fresh local seafood did not disappoint. Had the scotch fillet for main and it was a little bit overcooked but still nice and charcoal flavoured. We will return.

2nd time here, was craving a big, nourishing meal after a few days on the road. Entrees great (recommend the tasting plate, fresh as fresh can be!) Steak however was overcooked and overpriced in my opinion, boiled veg? undercooked chips.. Steak although a little chewy was juicy and smokey and had a great flavour. Still prob best option in Swansea.
