Looked up place to eat while at swansea. After reading all the reviews and not much of a choice within the area, we decided to settle at this place. Fish and chips were ok. Had seafood platter and it was good. At least for the price we paid, we got decent fresh seafood. The surprising bit was the laksa. It was really tasty!! Did not see that coming at all.
This isn’t your regular fish and chip shop. And I wanted to like it more. Shared the crumbed pack for two and it was good, but not outstanding. Chips were fine (undersalted). Crumbed prawns were well cooked. Crumbed calamari was well cooked too. But the crumbed fish was overcooked, which was a shame, given how fresh it all looked. The other options seemed interesting, with fresh prawn, lobster, and oysters featuring heavily. Maybe we got a bad batch because these guys have a good reputation around town. Service was super friendly to boot.
Wonderful meal! Faultless, friendly service. We’re from WA & have a favourite Fish & Chips restaurant of 30 years, but this wassuperior. Not to be missed if you’re in Swansea.Greg
Been from the shores of Ireland, fish and chips beside the beach was a right of passage. I have spent five years in Australia finding somewhere that qualifies as a decent chippy but to no avail (Australia you don’t don’t do go chippies at all), that is untill now..This place ticks all the boxes. It is s Fantastic chipper with fresh fish, a crispy light batter, fresh chips and good coleslaw… Yummy…. My only complaint.. You need to add mushy split pea’s with lots of salt to the menu… I will be back for sure and is worth a flight from Melbourne alone
Food is a little bit on the pricey side. But this is as best as you can get as Swansea. Had the seafood linguine for 18.50. Seafood was fresh and overall the dish was tasty. The shop front looks shabby though. But don’t judge a book by it’s cover.
Lovely grub. Go early as it gets packed after 6pm. Food very fresh and well prepared. Highly recommended.
Very Overpriced and tiny servings. It will cost you $17 for a small serving of fish and a mediocre serve of chips for one person. That’s a really high price but what makes it so bad is that the serving sizes are so small and the quality is just your standard fish and chip shop fare. In general things on the east coast are a bit pricey but at over $40 for two people with a can of drink each – this is getting stupid
