Had fish and chips, delicious crunchy batter and fresh soft fish, and yummy shoestring fries… But needed a side salad! Lovely spot by the river and excellent to catch up for a wine and casual meal.

Best Place for lunch. We recently celebrated a 70th birthday at the Tavern; we could not have chosen a better place. The private room was a perfect size for 20 guests, staff could not have been more helpful, discreet in their service and did not hassle us to leave. There was something for everyone on the menu, drinks selection was excellent and prices very reasonable. We would go there again, anytime. Plenty of parking and it’s free!

Very disappointed. Went to Rosevears tavern today with my friend who is in a wheelchair, we walked in first and some people came in behind us..the waitress totally ignored us and served the people behind. We were left standing there when she walked off to fix their table up. Not even an acknowledgement that we were even there. We were extremely disappointed for the disregard and left. Terrible customer service…no one should ever be treated this way!Very much a big shame as they had great wheelchair accessibility, which is always a challenge any where we go!

Overpriced for the fare served. Not a friendly atmosphere. Definitely not a motorcycle friendly venue (as it used to be).

I arrived just before lunch started, and the waiter offered to have the kitchen opened a bit early for me, despite being the only person there. There was a pretty good selection of food available for lunch, and the chicken salad with chorizo that I went for was delicious. The Crme Brle I had for dessert was also very good. The staff were friendly and quick. Also, the meal was reasonably priced. The place itself has a lovely view over a lake. If this place was closer to Launceston, I think it would be very difficult to get a spot here without pre-booking.

Go There!. We had dinner here during our recent holiday in Tasmania, and what a wonderful dinner it was. I think we shared was some kind of bruschetta entree. I do know it was delicious, but all I can think about when I think of this place is the Tasmanian salmon, special of the day. It was atop a lovely veggie salad which was pink and contained potato. Whatever it was it was great, but ahhh that fish. It was perfection. Tender and moist on the inside, with the crispest skin. Staff were lovely and very friendly without being in your face, and the setting is really nice. Sitting in the beer garden on a sunny afternoon, overlooking the river while sipping on a chilled glass of wine – – – I’ll take that any day.
