Super surprised by the lack of reviews for this bakery given that it has been around for at least a couple of decades.
It is run by a very pleasant husband and wife team who are always warm and welcoming. The shop has seen its hey day. Its interior is drab and looks weather beaten.
Their offerings have remained stagnant over the years. They have the same variety of buns which are large, reasonably priced and generously filled. We tend to go for their che – which is not refrigerated so it’s a bit of a gamble as to whether or not the coconut milk will turn on you.
A few years ago, they introduced hot food as well but it never really took off.
Victoria Street has been struggling lately for obvious reasons, but here’s hoping Huong Huong Bakery hangs in there for the duration.
