**3.5 stars** My friends and I had breakfast at this non-for-profit vegetarian restaurant a few weeks ago. Run by volunteers, its not hard to miss this place which is situated inside the Abbotsford Convent with both indoor and outdoor seating. I love the concept that you can name the price you feel the food is worth. My friends and I were also lucky enough to have eaten whilst there was a live band playing – that made for a nice experience. Overall, the vibe inside was great – hip and lively. The food was good (considering theyre vegetarian and vegan dishes). The staff and service were friendly and prompt.
I loved the idea of a NFP restaurant being inside the Abbotsford Convent. The place is run by volunteers and there’s no price on the vegetarian dishes, so it’s up to the customers to pay what they feel like. It is very packed on the Sunday arvo, and we had to find our own seats. The blackboard near the front shows the menu. I’m not a vegetarian, but I found the food tasty. I would recommend stopping here for a meal if you’re visiting Abbotsford!
I was invited to a gig at Lentil As Anything by a friend on Saturday night. I didnt know what to expect as I wasnt there for the food but was totally blown away by their concept. It was a vegetarian buffet dinner night and the food was so delicious and wholesome! Im also surprised the staff there are mostly volunteer and there is no price to the menu. You pay by what you think its worth. Highly recommend Lentil As Anything !
