tldr; Quite impressed with this restaurant and keen to go back and try some more dishes.Great to see some quality hawker food in Melbourne – not run by westerners (so it’s authentic too) – definitely (mostly) comparable to what we have in Singapore and Penang hawker courts. Highlights for us here were : Rendang + Roti – these were excellent – possibly the best we’ve had in Melbourne. Visit for this alone.Char Kway Teow – really good as well. They used narrower rice noodles instead of wide ones + possibly a couple of ingredients missing (sausage/prawns?) – however it was delicious and spicy too.Not as great : Cereal Prawns – prawns were large and very fresh, but was a little bit on the bland side, probably needed a bit more herbs + spices in the mixture. Not so good : Satay chicken – the satay sticks themselves were good – properly marinated/grilled too (not lazy deep fried like many other places). The big problem here was the sauce, not at all authentic tasting/malaysian hawker style – I strongly suspect they made it by dumping a jar of Kraft peanut butter in pot and added some chillies/Curry powder. I really hope they do something about this one because it let the rest of the meal down.Anyhow – definitely will be back and looking forward to try some of the other things on the menu like the Chilli Crab..

Ordered Mee goreng with combination of meat from Uber eats and it tasted alright. Had a slight chilli kick to it anywhere meat was very soft and tender. The prawns included the head and shelled tail. The Mee goreng noodles was nice but can do with a bit more flavor.

Its nice to have a new local Singaporean/Malaysian restaurant along Victoria St. I’ve come here twice, first time to try the Prawn noodle soup and recently i’ve tried their combination hor fun, crispy chicken wings, traditional carrot cake & seafood laksa. Overall, it definitely hit the spot in terms of taste. The crispy chicken has a bit of a curry flavour to it, not too oily. The carrot cake was average, however it was missing preserved radish. The hor fun had the wok flavour and was seasoned well, but they used thin rice noodles. I liked how they provided pickled chilli to go with this dish. The laksa tasted more like a malaysian chicken curry rather than a laksa soup broth, though my friend enjoyed it. Overall decent, would still come back when craving this kinda food in Richmond/Abbotsford.
