Classic pub food in a modern pub/beer garden setting. Have been to the Terminus for drinks on numerous occasions before but had dinner here for the first time tonight. Tried their steak night special- $18 for Black Angus porterhouse with peppercorn sauce, chips and salad. Steak was cooked well and the chips were fantastic. The $5 house red was also nice for the price.
I had lunch at the Terminus w a friend recently. The service was interesting. We asked the bartender for some recommendations for lunch and there was a serious lack of enthusiasm. Maybe we should have asked about the beers lol
So I ordered a falafel burger w chips and my friend ordered the calamari. My burger was good, a little dry but still good. The chips were alright.
The calamari was a surprise, there wasnt much on the plate and for the price I was taken aback and my friend smashed it down before she started on my chips hahaha
Unfortunately we didnt have time to order anything else as we had to head off. Mmnn
As for drinks they serve a range of Carlton beers as their staple brew, w some other beers such as Goose Island and Dogbolter which is great.
But for $6.50 for a pot (middie) of beer … WOW! Id only visit this place during happy hour next time.
When everything was full around this area on a Saturday night we happened to come here. Don’t get me wrong it was absolutely full as well we walked around and finally scored a table at the door. Just having some casual drinks, the strawberry G&T was actually really lovely. You can see I love strawberry because I ordered the strawberry vanilla panna cotta. It was OK, at the end of the day we are at a pub. Friends enjoyed their espresso martini etc. Loved the tunes they played as well, almost made me feel like wanting to go out after this!
