3.5. Nice spot for a quiet drink. The fit out inside is ok. Reasonable selection of spirits at perfectly acceptable prices. My monkey shoulder was lovely over a little ice. Service was friendly. Ticks all the right boxes. Id very happily return.

Fabulous new renovation – removing a few walls to open up the cosy interior a little more, while keeping the classic Sullivans front bar intact. Place was buzzing on our mid week evening visit. Ordered a couple of pub meal staples – a parma and fish and chips which were both very acceptable. It seems The Retreat has finally come out of its worn, tired shell and emerged ready to rumble. Welcome back to the neighbourhood.

Got the weekday lunch special for $15 and today it was the chicken parma. You get a large piece of chicken, salad, and fries. Delicious and great value for money!

It was a sunny Sunday afternoon and this place was closed for a while but thankfully its reopened.

The range of craft beers on tap was really good. I tried a Lagunitas lager which was tasty.

My partner and I decided to eat here as the menu looked really interesting. I had the pie of the day, which was a cheesy beef and stout pie w gravy mash and peas. The pie was delicious, absolutely amazing!

My partner had s chicken parma which was equally as good.

We also ordered some potato wedges as an entree and they were excellent, some of the best Ive had. Not greasy and they were crumbed in something, Yummo lol.

Its dog friendly and they have some good music playing too. There is a small courtyard out the back and a restaurant area too.

This place is a must visit.
