On a prominent corner that I drove by regularly, I wasnt convinced that this place was going to be great. But when I found myself free for lunch and some great google reviews suggesting I try it, I thought why not! Turns out it was a great idea.
Id really love to give a 3.5 star rating as the food was amazing but combined with the service, ambience etc, probably not a 4, but definitely not a 3 either.
The space is large and has plenty of tables and seating. It also seems to cater for a large take away population with far more people ordering than I saw seated. I ordered the toasted turkey, cranberry and Brie focaccia and it was so good!
After some initial confusion (lucky I had kept an eye on what they grabbed from the cabinet), my sandwich was toasted to perfection so that the Brie was melted and turkey warmed through (none of this barely warm nonsense) wrapped up and cut in half for me. (Pity, since I was eating in, but not to worry).
I think the size and height of the display cabinets was most of the problem, with both parties being shorter than the cabinet. Its also quite a high ceiling room and when combined with the lunch time rush, made hearing each other difficult. But, we got it sorted in the end, I had a delicious lunch for a very reasonable cost and got to pay with my Amex card too. This is a great spot and one Id happily go back to.
