We stumbled across this place looking for something new. Had the bolognese and spirelli with chicken – Great food, will definitely be heading back there soon!
We only live a block away from this corner restaurant, and it’s like a second home. Along with the friendliest hosts in the business, the pizza is very, very good. The pizza’s are helpfully numbered so I only have to remember my current fave, number 13. The cheap VB stubbs top off an excellent outing. Seating outside gets the early evening sun and permits a people watching spectacular of the interesting mix of Middle Park’s elite, commish dwellers and Hari krishna’s leaving the local gathering place. I will be back again, and again, and again.
Seafood Risotto!! Il take that meal anyday. And the sticky date is to die for. My partner had the pesto ravioli which she enjoyed. The chef suggested a 2009 rymill shiraz to go with the food, which was just right. Still loving that combination.
Disorganised chaos. We used to frequent this restaurant and decided to return after a bit of a hiatus. We were 4 adults and 1 child, showed up and an older male waiter who tried to seat the 5 of us at a small table for 4. A couple at a table nearby were nice enough to offer to move so we could join two tables. The meal was downhill from there.
We ordered and after 40minutes of waiting asked a young international waiter (German I’m guessing) to check on food. 2 of the four meals had arrived and another 15 minutes passed and we asked the same waiter to check on our meals as he had not come back to us about our order. When he didn’t come up again I had to get up and go to the woman at the counter (who I think is the owner) and yelling between her and the older waiter as well as the pasta chef. Nobody knew what was going on and what was missing. By now it was well past the 2 meals having being finished and the kitchen still hadn’t made the rest of our meals. I told them to cancel the remaining meals. When we went to the counter to pay they weren’t even sure what we had received and what was on the order.
The waiters must be underpaid as their training is awful and they don’t know how go service a table or follow up requests. The owner also does not have control of the situation and spends a lot of time yelling at people and talking to the regulars in the restaurants that she knows.
When I see all these revues that are positive I thunk they are fake as the user only has one review. Maybe I’m being sceptical but our experience was so awful and we left having had a very bad night after having planned a nice evening out. I can’t think of seeing another restaurant with such bad service ever.
My favourite dishes include the penne salmon and bolognese. The cheese focaccia and bruschetta are both great entrees, and the Greek salad is delicious! We love Effie and how she greets us at the door

The wood fired bread is absolute carb loving HEAVEN!
The Saganaki and Bruschetta are incredibly tasty. The mains are generous and tasty and the accompanying salad is dressed just right.
The main point when you are coming here is to make sure you are STARVING!
Can’t wait to come back here again.

Simply excellent.. Never mind the superlatives and critiques – quality, quantity and the lovely waiter made this experience excellent. Highly recommended.
