Stopped in for brunch for my partners birthday, the food was amazing and came out pretty quick. I got the pumpkin and halloumi breakfast with poached eggs on sourdough, my boyfriend got the pasta special which was a pumpkin and sage creamy spaghetti! Coffee was great also and they have bonsoy milk!
decent fare for the area, good seating, interiors and friendly staff/service……would not go out of my way to visit but might pop in if am close by.
Visited for breakfast with some work colleagues. Coffee was excellent and on the strong side. Service was great – could not fault. I had the corn fritters, the fritters were tasty but the bacon was burnt, rubbery, flavourless and cold- it must have been cooked in advance. My colleague ordered the chilli eggs which he liked, especially the chorizo that comes with it. The other meal was bacon and scrambled eggs – same feedback on the bacon. Eggs were fine. Not sure if will be back? Maybe coffee only.
Not quite sure why this place is always packed and pumping on the weekend. The food is good, not great, the coffee I would rate about the same. The owners and staff are always friendly and welcoming, but if you are coming here on the weekend, don’t expect to a cosy quiet breakfast catch up, you literally can’t hear yourself think in this place, it is so loud, and tables are so cramped together you can barely move.
As a local, I want to see and support good establishments in the area. This cafe has potential with decent food but they really need to overhaul their coffee – it is close to undrinkable. So much so that I’ve been known to get a coffee from other local cafes before heading to Rock Paper Scissors for brunch with friends.
My local so I’m highly biased. Great service good food. Too easy.
Oh its a minimum of 140 characters. Recommend the Shakshouka or the pancakes.
Fab cafe in Port Melbourne, I’ve been back to Rock Paper Scissors twice in one week! Coffee is delicious and served hot. Will definitely be back.
