Dropped by Altona Beach so decided to try this local joint since it’s so close to the beach. My partner and I had the Seafood Basket and added extra fish on top of the pack. This shop seems to be quite reasonable in pricing and honestly, the fish and chips were not bad – not amazing but good enough for a quick beach meal.

If I’m in the area again, I wouldn’t mind visiting this joint again.

I love this style of fish and chips. They wrap everything in paper rather than a cardboard box. Staff are friendly and the food was good. Will definitely come back.

Nice little fish and chip shop just around the corner. We have been back twice now! Great service/food, all the staff are friendly and helpful. Only thing I can point out is that the grilled fish is crumbed a bit too thick, other than that, all is good!

Just ur average fish and chip store. Its pretty cheap.. Got all that for about $10. Location is a touch annoying for a non-local because its on a one way street.

I don’t know if there are new owners &/or people working there, but the food has deteriorated. It used to be nice. Now the food is yuck. I’m not a salt person but it’s a must to have it on fish and chips. Each time I’ve gone lately there is no salt (& if they did put some on, it must have fallen through the cracks of the paper). Me not been a salt person in general, makes it very noticeable not having any. Their potato cakes are disgusting. They are soggy & soaked in grease. Potato Cakes should be crispy & fresh. Theirs taste old. The flake is ok but the rest I have found to be a huge let down. This hasn’t happened just once either. The last three times. And my sister had the same problem. I thought I would give them one last try & should have noticed the red flag warning when ordering a large $55 order I was told it would only take 10 minutes to cook. Other than the flake the rest of the order was cold & tasted old (not freshly cooked). I won’t be going there ever again.

Dry fish burger, no sauce, dry dim sum, no sauce. Ordinary service.
