Great breakfast. Breakfasts were all good quality, very generous portions, and reasonably priced. Probably the best breakfast place in Avoca. Will definitely be back. Coffee was ok — drinkable, but not amazing. I’m not sure there’s anywhere better in town though.
Six of us ate here for breakfast this morning. All six of us liked it a lot. Very nice food and coffee. Nice surroundings. Very friendly staff. Hard to fault. Would definetly return.
Delicious. Cute little country gift store/restaurant. I got the Ploughman’s lunch with meat and it was amazing. Really nice salad with olives, beautiful local chutney with a warm roll, big bowl of butter (which I finished most of), kabana, salami, ham and 4 types of cheese (including an amazing blue). I could barely finish the plate (I think it was $18? Possibly the most expensive menu item).Would definitely have lunch here again. 🙂
Weird!. Called in mid-morning for a late breakfast. Were not willing to offer me anything because they were getting ready for lunch! Tuesday morning and the town was basically deserted! Coffee was fair. Would not consider a return visit.
A country gem. The Olive & Lavender Store is hard to define. Great food, friendly and relaxed staff, 2 rooms stuffed with giftware and an outdoor garden with OLIVES and LAVENDER. This is not the place for a quick takeaway meal, but if you can wait 10~20 minutes, the food is worth every bite. Breakfast and lunch are covered, so too are morning and afternoon tea. Trish (the owner) will also open of an evening for pre-booked groups.
