pad thai was so oily and salty … roti bread was also saturated in oil. this place is lacking in authenticity of traditional thai cuisine… wouldnt come back unless i was hungover/desperate!
How dare you. That’s right. How dare you! We arrived for some Kokbang and were sat down in an empty restaurant. We ordered. Then waited….and waited….and waited for our meal. There was nobody else in the restaurant?! What’s the GO? Was the chef flying in from Koh Samui??
You do get points for:
A tasty Gang Panang and ice cold Singha
If you want Thai food fast….probably quicker to head to the Airport and jump on a plane to Phuket
Recently i decided to try this place as i have driven past it many times. I do love the interior of the place, alot nicer than most thai restaraunts. Tried two dishes, the chilli chicken which was amazing. Seriuosly this is one of the best dishes of thai food i have had before. Unfortunately i also had a tomato type beef which was rather average, however i will be back again
Starving for a vegetable. Got takeaway here on a Friday night. Ordered Mussaman curry, the menu said the beef melts in your mouth, not sure what beef they were talking about, maybe beef from another restaurant, my beef was clearly overcooked and very dry, I suspect it was reheated from a previous night :-/ I also ordered the chilli jam chicken, on the menu it said there was capsicum in it, I’m afraid there was no capsicum to be seen and the mussaman beef was swimming in sauce with only 2 small bite size potato’s to be found. I usually love Thai food, I love the fresh crisp veges you would usually find in their dishes. Very disappointed, I was starving for a vegetable, there was only one white person family eating in there when I arrived, so that really does say a lot. I am white and even I cook better asian food. The only high was that the staff seemed lovely.
Great place!. Had dinner here last Friday night. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. My chicken green curry was divine as was my sons Panang curry. Mum had the King prawn and vegetable stir fry which was beautifully fresh and delicious. Prices were generally good except for the $16 mixed entree (I thought it was a bit too expensive for what you got). Service was great; the waitresses were extremely friendly and attentive. There was a constant stream of take away customers which means it’s popular with the locals. I will definitely be back!
Was decent food. We had a banquet. My only complaint was they brought all the good at once. Slow down! Give us a chance to eat. The decor was a bit ordinary, and the toilets vile! But the good was good.
I cannot eat Thai anywhere else. Aunty feeds me too well here, amazing flavours and fantastic service! I suffer withdrawals if I go too long without Bangkok house meal…
