I drove all the way from Richmond and stopped by on the way to my friends house further away. This place has a home feel in a suburban street. After staring at the choices for a while I got a couple of cannolis and proceeded to pay. The lady said it was cash only. I didnt know what to do, I wanted to go find an ATM. The lady behind the counter was soo nice I was taken aback. She said come back another day and pay its okay, I trust you! Wow in 2018! I will be back to pay but also to try more desserts! The cannolis and donut thing was soo good. Probably as good as the ones in Italy. Light creamy right amount of sweetness and crunch!
Holy Cannoli! A secret cannoli bar is here in the north…well I thought it was a secret until I saw the place packed on the first weekend. Hidden in Avondale heights. With 3 main cannoli flavours, Nutella, original and pistachio they are definitely to die for. The wait is worth it as they are freshly filled. Been back 2 weeks in a row!
This newly opened Cannoli bar is taking the north west of Melbourne by storm. And rightly so. A family run business they make their rustic Cannoli shells and fill them to order. Pistachio? Oreo? Tiramisu? Theyve got it. A very nice sweet treat in the form of this delicious Sicilian delicacy.
They also have savoury food like pizza and other sweets as well.
* You may think your lost in between suburban houses but you will come to the end of the rainbow with a pot of gold at the end.
* Loved the simplicity, this place needs a bigger home for the amount of foot traffic as it has already outgrown this shop front.
* Dont stress they now have credit card facilities.
Im not sure what I was expecting but it felt good homely and very welcoming. I definitely new what I was going to eat and that one thing was absolutely delicious. Hello Cannoli you just burst the doughnut bubble and gave us something excitingly new.
I loved the different combinations and for most living outside of Avondale heights you simply cant just have one after you have travelled the distance. First time customer and you have to always opt for the traditional as thats how you gage if its good or great. Then you add a Nutella to the mix and then you get all fancy and you try a lemon meringue and then you say welcome to Cannoli heaven. If you are not a fan dont worry they have other things that may tickle your fancy.
The service was very friendly and the owners really know how to make customers happy. Its exciting walking in and feeling how proud they are of their accomplishment. I hope hard work pays off, this is a place I would love to come back to time and time again. P.s if you need these beauties at your next function I witnessed several of customers walking out with Boxs.
Just a pre warning if you have had a blow-wave the cafe is small and I did leave smelling a tad oily. So grab a seat outside if you need to go out after and dont fancy food as perfume.
I only came here for the cannoli and im glad i did. I had the salted caramel cannoli, it was larger than expected. The cannoli pastry was delicious, i loved that the inside was lined with chocolate then, it was completely filled with ricotta and caramel. The coffee could be better it’s old school coffico.
