A beauty in Avondale Hts. Dispels any myth that you must go to St Albans, Sunshine or Footscray for good Asian cuisine. We had pan fried pork dumplings, char kuai Teow and the noodle soup with prawn and pork. Everything was excellent. Flavour, freshness, service, value/portion, all tick! The char kuai teow especially captured all of the wok flavours. Will return
Lizzies first impression: The interior is so modern it almost doesnt even seem like they do authentic Vietnamese food but dont let the look of the restaurant deter you away. Its my new found gem!
Lizzie enjoyed: the pipis with Chinese donuts are the highlight – pipis are fresh and the donuts are crispy! We also ordered the fried flat rice noodles which had the perfect kick of spice in it. The desserts were amazing – we got the coconut milk sago and the Jasmine Pannacotta that was really fragrant and delicious with the honeycomb.
Lizzie did not enjoy: The prices are very fair but those who go to Viet restaurants will say that there prices are a little steeper. Nonetheless its worth paying the premium!
Lizzie rates overall: I really enjoyed having lunch here – I wish more people knew about this place!
