Can’t fault this place, was exactly what I expected! Nice family orientated pizza restaurant with friendly service and a menu with something for everyone. I tried the meat lovers and the Hawaiian, both were really good
Disappointing to not be able to get any service. We waited 10 minutes for service yet people who arrived after us and dirty tables could get service but not us. They only time they showed any interest was when we got up to leave. Customers before dirty tables
Fast and great service, would have liked to have access to menu after ordered. Never been disappointed with the pizza. They also have gluten free which is great when seeing someone that has food intolerances.
Visiting from Sydney, Eureka Bistro was my first experience of Ballarat hospitality. I just say, the service was exquisite.
The owner, John, was a delightful host.
The minestrone and lasagna were great. Will be back again someday.
Mediocre is being generous. Service so bad it was almost laughable. Table for two. We were seated same time as a group of three on a not so busy Monday evening. They’d finished their mains 10 minutes before our pasta even arrived.
One waitress running flat out everywhere and some imperious dick behind the pizza counter, whom i presumed to be the owner, lording it over the place like it was Ballarat’s answer to Caffe E Cucina.
So if the service didn’t deflate what was supposed to be a easy night out, the food did. A main of garlic prawns fettuccini was a bland combo of prawns that had been flash fried in garlic butter and plonked into a stodgy cream sauce that lacked flavour so badly I’d swear it wasn’t even seasoned. No bread, no follow up service and as soon as the cutlery was down the plate was cleared by the waitress – who was already burdened with an armload of plates from another table. Main serving and my partner’s entree were the same size.
When paying at the front, a lady is patiently waiting for a takeaway pasta which then appears, so the owner, while serving us, barks at some pizza delivery driver – who was doing a great impersonation of a badly tattooed ice addict – to pass over the food. No thanks. Stay home, cook yourself. You’ll feel better about it.
I don’t blame the waitress – the place reeks of self importance but is wholly hallmarked by apathy and incompetence.
No service. We had been here previously and were looking forward to our meal. Only to be seated and basically forgotten about. After about 25minutes we decided to leave. Although they had a few tables they should have had more than one waitress. We weren’t even offered any water. What topped it off was that people seated outside who came in after us, were served before us and by the pizza maker. Sorry guys we won’t be coming back nor will I recommend you.
Very disappointed with this place. Tonight I tired it for the first time.
The service was terrible, unorganized and not very friendly.
They stuffed up my partners mean, his steak was cold and the lettuce was brown. My pasta was cold and no nice presentation.. We waited aleast 30mins between entree and mains.
When we got to the counter and told them what had happened, he took $5 off our meal!!
Crap, won’t be going back!!!
