Not a great place to visit for a relaxing Sunday afternoon. Their management and security staff are straight out of the 1980’s mentality.. Where bashings and choking patrons are their preferred method of a so called crowd control. Avoid this place at all costs.
At the time we had lunch they only had pizzas. The vegetarian zucchini and pumpkin pizza was pretty good and coffee not bad. Just fine for a light lunch before heading to a movie at the Regent. Dine here for the live music in the lane while enjoying coffee and a bite.
Changed a lot from when I was younger. A bit of an older age range but food and atmosphere was good… Sitting for dinner with live music on a Friday night can’t go wrong.
ok but so slow and stuffed up orders then still slow slow. Finally gets here and ok looks good so all in all maybe a 6 / 7. They do need to lift there game though.
Really underwhelming. Risotto sounded amazing but was just warm rice with pimpkin, pine nuts and spinach stirred through it. Staff were all lovely
Chicken Parma was massive and delicious!! Gnocchi also just as amazing!
Staff- Abby in particular was fantastic! She was kind, helpful and very attentive! Will definitely go back! 🙂
Chef or menu issue?. Was at the George Friday night for a staff function.
Understandably it would be very difficult to cater for 40-50 people but they seemed to manage quite well all things considering.
I ordered the salmon which the menu stated could be made GF and DF. 10mins later a friendly waiter rushed out to tell me that the dish could not be made to my requirements, especially the GF part…. I questioned him on what was written on the menu but of course he was getting his directions from the kitchen. After a couple of calls to and fro he said that it was the soy sauce…
Kitchen staff… it’s called take out the soy sauce, and if you can’t… do not have a menu that claims it can make a dish GF.
