Pistachio flavoured gelato is a must try ! Some actual bits of pistachios in there too. The flavour is better than the ones Ive tried in Melbourne. Friendly staff with a good sense of humour. Highly recommended.
Their Sicilian Pistachio is now the benchmark fo all others in Australia, bellissimo! The proprietor Anthony will also happily discuss the good and the bad of gelato. I learned a lot about my favourite frozen treat! Wonderful visit. And if you are just visiting the area – make sure to go see the Giant Sequoias trees in the Botanical Garden

Ive been eyeing off the icecream cakes as well, I think my partner may just get one for his next birthday. We love this gelato so much we often even take a take-home tray to have later. Based on all natural ingredients, the gelati at Il Piccolo Gelato is made daily from fresh milk with no artificial colours or flavours. There are over 100 flavours in Il Piccolos repertoire, with around two dozen on the menu at any time, including non-dairy options. Central location, friendly service, generous serves and some of the best gelati we have eaten this year. A must for Ballarat visitors!
