No you read that correctly (see photo)… Turns out it was Halloween night at Irish Murphys and these undead had never seen a girl in a mellinia as Mrs S walked in. The only thing that scared me however, was that it was only 7:30pm and these undead characters were already anhialated
Anyway after we got past the glazzy, lusty eyes of the rather large and bolding middle-aged man we found a booth and looked at the sticky menu. We ordered 2 parmas (1 with a side of gravy) and 2 cokes. Easy enough order… or so we thought. The staff at the bar reacted to our order like we had just ordered a golden Croquembueche with a side serve of solved rubics cubes and the solution to time travel.
After achieving this incredible feat, we got our cokes which were served in scotch glasses fit for a leprechaun. Our meals didn’t take too long to come out and they actually weren’t bad. Thick, butterfield chicken breast gave evidence that these parmas were homemade and the chips were pretty decent but the salad was as dry as Mars unfortunately.
All in all, Irish Murphys is decent if your planning on being drunker then Brendan Fevola at the Brownlow but unfortunately is a no-go if your visiting Ballarat and looking for a pleasant evening with dinner.
Therefore we rate this unlucky charm a 2/5
