I went there for lunch last week. Me and my boyfriend ordered a pulled pork tocos in the breakfast menu and it was yummy, but just a little out of proportion. They gave so much of cabbage slaw with couple chuck of pulled pork in the plate. We also ordered a red velvet waffles and it was so good. The waffle itself was fluffy and crispy on the outside especially the decorations on the dish was bang on, pretty and colorful. Their fancy shake was just ok i have had better. The service was really slow. I was sitting there waiting 15-20mins for staff to come and take my order. even though there was only 3 tables on that day.
Very welcoming staff and space- you cannot help but smile when you come in! There is quite a large menu, and I actually wish that I had of come for lunch rather than brunch as the different salads sounded delicious.
I had the spiced pumpkin bruschetta on sourdough with poached eggs and beetroot ham. The jam was pretty sweet and there wasn’t a lot of pumpkin, but the flavours were well balanced. My friend is a regular and she had her go-to pulled pork tacos which she once again loved.
Overall definitely more targeted towards the sugar lover, but an enjoyable experience.
Best Breakfasts in Ballarat. Very Friendly staff who always make our family feel welcome. The food is innovative, and includes new twists on old favourites as well as many interesting dishes. The plating and presentation is sublime and the flavours are amazing. They have great quality colouring sheets and crayons for kids, (not an after thought).
My only complaint would be that it is too small, and very popular so sometimes hard to get a seat, but I would advise you to be patient, it is worth waiting for a seat!.
Extremely disappointing experience – ordered poached eggs on gluten free bread with avocado. The meal was so small, came with only 1 tiny slice of GF bread and the smallest side of avo I’ve ever seen (which was completely overpriced at $4 given the small size.) Poached eggs were also hard. Expressed this disappointment to staff who were apologetic but did not offer any discount at all. I’m happy to pay higher end breakfast prices provided the food and service is of the same high quality, but unfortunately this was not the case here. Much better places to try – we will not return based on this underwhelming experience.
Very friendly staff, nice food, super delicious waffles and milk shakes. Very concerned about my 4 legged friend and offered to put us at the back courtyard, as dog was in the car. So also very dog friendly cafe!
The waiter was super friendly, he made me feel very welcome. Coffee was delicious and food was great! I had the baby peas and it was different to the normal brunch cafe thing and super delicious, also a generous serve. All day breakfast is always a winner!!
I have heard good things about this place but everytime I come here, there servings are a bit over the top and the large sauce servings make you feel a bit sick of it. I do end up scraping the sauces to the side. I also felt like I ate a kg of bacon with my eggs benny. Not bad flavours, could be improved.
