I was here a few months ago because I was recommended it. The drink was expected. Sugary and sweet. But I didnt expect the corn fritters to be room temperature and stale. As though theyre not fresh. I always order corn fritters at every cafe but this just didnt taste right. The texture was spongey. The bacon on the meal was also not fresh. Stale. The other dish with smoked salmon and eggs were bland.

There’s nothing better than walking into a cafe with no expectations due to past mediocre ratings and leaving 100% satisfied with the food experience. I ordered the Baby Peas & Avo with poached eggs and it was perfect. The tang of the beetroot hommus when combined with the charcoal toast and that amazing smash avocado with Meredith Feta, bang on for flavour balance and visually a real stunner. My friend had the KFS House Benny with pulled pork and corn fritters, again a beautifully balanced dish, moist and loads of flavour and very generous in serving size. Friendly service, good coffee, lovely old world setting and I’ll be back.

I got the chicken wrap with the sour cream and guacamole and stuff. The food was all good, nothing special but it tasted nice. The thing that made me not really want to come back was the service. So the service wasn’t bad in a rude way but it was very very pushy. I told the waitress that I was waiting for some friends because I was the first to arrive but she gave me a menu and asked me what I wanted. I told her I’ll order when all my friends arrived but right after one friend came she came over and asked again. She did this every time one more friend came. Over all even though the store was very quiet that day it felt like she wanted us all to hurry up and just leave.
