This is no ordinary La Porchetta. The owners decided to inject a bit of quality into the menu. The pizzas taste nicer, more toppings, more cheese. The pastas are also much better. Each and every item we tried on this menu was of far better quality than the others I’ve been to (Oakleigh, toorak). If you find yourself in Ballarat for lunch or dinner, don’t overestimate this place. It’s great!!!

For the past two years have picked up basic pizzas for kids on the way home. They are cheap. This week I rang the order through and told them I had a voucher for a fee small garlic focaccia. When I picked up the pizzas I had the voucher. The old lady who runs Ballarat La Porchetta said not on Saturday! I wish girl that I rang had told me? I didn’t have any extra money! The old lady said Too bad! It’s cooked!
Our old orders left us with $3.20 which I put in their change bowl for many years. The fact that the old lady doesn’t know me after 8 yrs, is a mystery to me.
Feeling extremely embarrassed as I didn’t have the money I told her I would not be coming here again. So she took away the focaccia. I scrambled through my change, and found $4 two gold coins and my last $5.
$9! But she still had taken the focaccia!
    You owe me $9
Thank you as I drive past Don C before La Porchetta. They have much fresher ingredients and a really great gluten free base that is fresh and reasonably priced.
What ever happened to knowing your customers and being treated as a human not just Money!!! & the amount of tips I have put in their Money jar, would have paid for the focaccia ten times.
    Disappointed & disgusted
The Eureka in Sturt St is so friendly and fresh.

Disgusting Parma. Worst I’ve had, and I’ve had some rubbish parmas in my time. Had the chips on the side and they were terrible too. Absolutely no flavour whatsoever on them.

As a restaurant , everything they served has no freshness. I ordered a risotto, how dare they used precooked rice to cook it, and it’s a massive serve. Blend, watery, meat I can taste it’s been frozen.

My friend ordered a pasta, marinara , cheap shrimp , tinny scallop, and undercooked pasta.

Never again, worst la porchetta in Victoria.

I could only describe this La Porchetta as ‘the generic pizza and pasta joint’. It’s not great, sometimes it might be good. Stick with the generic meals are you’re usually safe. Ordered a ‘gourmet’ pizza a little while back, a solid mistake, it’s LaPas not The Forge. We don’t go here very much, prices aren’t amazing and the single large room makes for a very loud experience.

You go to la porchetta for la porchetta. You don’t go there for great Italian food or a new dish… You go there for their style food. Good price. Often come here for takeaway and go up to the lake. I enjoy their pizzas when I’m the mood

Mum, Dad and my brother all loved theirs which was good, pizzas are great. Was so busy on long weekend which La Porchetta handles really well. But too much cheese on the parmigiana I had – it made me a little sick, but I guess other people love cheese so maybe just me? Possibly an option for future reference. The chips also needed a little more cooking but we ate them.
Customer service was good, our waitress had a friendly dry sense of humor and was doing well for a trainee!
I think I’ve had my fill of cheese for a while though!
